The customer app · Access by invitation

Your freight forwarder,
in your pocket.

Prepare your import from your supplier’s premises, then pick it up on the web or your smartphone. As an individual or a business team, keep your documents and conversations in a dedicated customer workspace.

  • Scan while you’re abroad

Photograph multiple pages or add a PDF. Review the document and its destination before sending it to your forwarder.

  • Know where your file stands

Documents, missing items and progress updates published by your forwarder, grouped by import.

  • Keep your exchanges together

A question about a material or a missing document? Keep the answer in the conversation for that import.

Your forwarder invites you to your workspace. If you work with several forwarders, their spaces stay separate. Ask your forwarder which services are available to you.

08 / FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is Ara a freight forwarder or a matching platform?

Ara is the application connecting importers and forwarding teams around their documents. Its matching service is in preparation: customers will submit an import project in Ara and be connected with a partner. The identified forwarder will deliver the forwarding service and formalities set out in the quote. Ara provides tools that reduce manual data entry.

Do I need to know a freight forwarder before using Ara?

Customer workspaces currently open by invitation from a forwarder. The next stage will let you start a request in Ara without knowing a forwarder beforehand. This independent sign-up is not open yet; it will require an email address and a phone number.

Where can I find freight forwarders in French Polynesia?

Ara’s directory brings together public contact details for freight forwarders, freight agents and international movers in French Polynesia. Find their email addresses, phone numbers and the sources for each entry.

Can individuals and businesses use Ara to prepare imports?

Yes. Ara provides for a personal workspace for individuals and a business workspace with a manager and team members. People access their authorised files, and workspaces with different forwarders remain separate. Current access is by invitation.

How are quotes, invoices and payments planned to work in Ara?

The planned matching journey includes a quote and an invoice in the name of the forwarder delivering the service. Ara is preparing integrated payments on the partner’s behalf. This service is not open yet; terms and fees will be presented before any commitment.

How do I prepare my first shipment to Tahiti?

Describe your goods, departure country, value, weight or volume and destination in French Polynesia. Gather your supplier’s documents. Before shipping, ask the forwarder to specify the service, required documents and costs in an itemised quote. Our guide to importing to Tahiti helps you prepare this information.

Can I follow my import on my smartphone with Ara?

In your customer workspace, accessed by invitation, you can view documents, conversations and updates published by your forwarder. This shows the progress of your file, not live cargo geolocation. Ask your forwarder which services are available for your file.

Does Ara replace my customs filing software?

No. Ara preps the data (extraction, HS codes, file build) and exports it to your existing customs software. Your filing chain doesn't change: Ara feeds it, it doesn't replace it.

What if the extraction is wrong?

Every document goes through human validation: your broker sees every extracted line with its confidence score, fixes it in one click, and nothing leaves without their sign-off.

How can freight forwarders get started with Ara?

Request a demonstration using your documents. We define your workspace, export formats and access needs with your team. Customer workspace access and the upcoming matching service are separate stages.

Is my data isolated?

Yes. Each organisation gets a strictly separated workspace. Your files, clients and suppliers are never visible to anyone else.

Which documents can Ara read?

Commercial invoices, delivery notes and packing lists, as PDF or scan, whatever the supplier’s format. Multi-page and multi-currency invoices are handled.
